DMV MarksMen Scholarships & Donations

The Richard F. Brown Scholarship is setup in the memory of Coach Mark and Larry's late Fathers. DMV MarksMen Soccer & Mentoring was built on the core values that both of the coaches fathers instilled in them over the years. Both fathers were advocates for Coach Mark and Larry on being true leaders in the community while using soccer as a platform to transform children's lives. All donations will be used to help a local Prince George's County Public High School student/family with the adequate character, grades and core values to attend a private school of their choosing to further their academic and soccer careers.

The Greenwood Foundation was established in 2023 around Bishop McNamara High School soccer standouts Darren and Popo Greenwood. The Greenwood twins moved to the United States in 8th grade from a poverty stricken town in Sierra Leone to pursue their academic and athletic dreams. During their incredible high school careers at BMHS both twins earned 1st team all-conference honors, reached the finals twice and Darren was named the 2022/23 WCAC player of the year. With all their recent accomplishments the twins wanted nothing more than to now offer hope and support to the young children back in their home town of Kingtom, Sierra Leone. The Greenwood twins have now officially partnered with DMV MarksMen to adopt their former club, the Syke Rangers Football Foundation. The Syke Rangers have over 80 children in their foundation and has been coached by an amazing man named Tommy Musa on a 100% volunteer basis for the past 15 years. Sadly most of the children within The Syke Rangers Football Foundation do not have proper cleats, clothes or equipment as you can see in the pictures below. With all of your help the Greenwood Twins can be true heroes in their country and have give hope to coach Tommy and all children who will never be as fortunate as them to get a chance better their lives in the United States.
